Summary

This poultice is useful for a variety of things. I use it primarily for application to the sole in cases of sole abscess, bruise and any wound to the sole.

To make "sugardine", put about 5 tablespoons sugar into a cup. Add about 2 tablespoons of povidone iodine solution. Use a tongue depressor to mix. Slowly add povidone iodine solution until the consistency is a runny paste. It is easy to make it too watery. It tends to become hardened when stored for extended periods. It can also be used under a bandage on an infected wound.
